A new program from the Davidson County Register of Deeds will provide free photo IDs to veterans who register their discharge papers with the city.
The department has long recorded the DD214 military discharge documents free of charge, providing a safe way for veterans to document paperwork needed to access veterans benefits such as loans, health care and burial services.
